Our attitude and how we can influence our reality
I wrote about attitude before but I thought I’d revisit this topic today because I came across a very nice quote saying: ‘A simple shift in attitude can help us recognise the hidden potential for fulfilment in every event‘. I read it a few times because I really wanted to get what it meant… ‘A simple shift in attitude can help us recognise the hidden potential for fulfilment in every event‘.
This goes quite well with the theory of quantum energy I have been reading about lately. It states that everything exists in a state of potential but it is not until this is translated into action that things actually happen. Let me explain it better… I think that what it means is that unless you pay attention to something, that something is just a potential, it doesn’t actually exist in your reality. However, at the point in which you pay attention, this potential becomes something that actually exists. It’s like as if behind me – whilst I sit here and write about this – there is nothing. But at the moment in which I turn to look behind me, everything turns into something real – in my case – a kitchen. This is quite big, isn’t it? Basically the observer influences the physical state of reality…
Whilst these theories might be a bit difficult to grasp at first, I think it is easier to understand them in the context of emotions and how we feel about something. I don’t think there is a secret recipe for contentment but those who experience it are people who have the ability to take the circumstances they are in and the challenges they face and make them into something great. But how do they do that?
As I mentioned before, reality is filtered by our individual perception – meaning that delight or despair come from within. If we shift our attitude, we are then able to recognise the potential for growth and fulfilment in every event in life and see the world as a whole as a brighter place. There is a learning experience in every moment and it is our ability to recognise it that makes the experience valuable.
So if you are facing a challenge or you are experiencing a difficult time in life, try to think positively about it and focus on the learning. You’ll see that very soon you’ll be able to see a brighter and better outcome.
