About nourishment

The way you nourish and fuel your body is linked to the way you feel. If you want to feel good, you have to give your body the right nourishment and by this I don’t only mean the food you put in your mouth, but also the way you treat yourself on and off the yoga mat.

Be aware of the internal chatter and the way you talk to yourself: being kind to yourself is such an important step towards self-confidence and contentment.

On a physical level, watch out for pushing your body over its limits. Our bodies are very clever and are able to learn new movements and patterns all the time but often they need us to be a bit more gentle and patient as they develop new memories. Repeating the same sequences in yoga is useful to develop these memories and to allow the body to let go a little bit more every time.

In my view, yoga is both a calming and energising practice which – similarly to food – provides nourishment to the body, the mind and the soul.
